Ladies’ College Colombo, a premier private school for girls aged 3 to 19, became the first in Sri Lanka to fully digitize its classrooms with Smart Interactive Panels. In partnership with EWIS, the school implemented a pioneering EdTech solution that is now being recognized as a national benchmark in education transformation.

Challenges addressed
Traditional classrooms limited the school’s ability to engage all types of learners—particularly kinesthetic and visual learners. There was a clear need for an interactive, student-centered learning environment.
Transformation delivered
As the Edutec partner, EWIS provided a turnkey solution that included Smart Interactive Panels for every classroom upgraded network infrastructure, provided interactive content for teaching and comprehensive teacher training. This enabled dynamic, multimodal teaching that brought subjects to life and allowed every student to thrive.
Impact beyond the classroom
This successful deployment at Ladies’ College inspired the Ministry of Education to adopt the model nationwide. It now serves as the blueprint for digitizing over 9,500 government schools across Sri Lanka—making it one of the country’s most impactful educational transformations to date.
